Bovis Lend Lease was awarded the Project Management services for a five-star rate luxury hotel, of 117 rooms, in Toledo. The Building owner and investor is the Vistahermosa Group,. The property will be managed by Gestión T3, who have been responsible for the successful opening and repositioning of some of Spain’s most luxurious hotels.
The global built area is 21.000 m2 in a total surface plot of 13.700 m2 13.700 m2 . It has an two-level underground parking with an adequate capacity for some 240 spaces.
Built around the existing walls of an 18th century palace on the border of the Tajo River with splendid views of the river and part of the historical town of Toledo, most of the hotel will be a newly built complex in line with the design and style of the existing, listed façade. It features 117 air-conditioned guest rooms and suites offering modern and comfortable accommodations. The main building will host some bedrooms, most of them junior suites, suites and one special room with a different design where the original paintings were located. The hotel intends to be an important business centre with auditorium and conference rooms with the special print of “Hilton Meetings”.
In the main floor are located the catering areas and museum, with restaurants such as “Goizeco”, restaurant buffet “Toledana”
with an outdoor kitchen and outside, “Las Terrazas del Tajo”, bars and the lobby bar and the “Cigar room”, the last one placed inside the area of the Palace allocated as a Museum.
The project was designed by the architects, José Manuel Barbero Garcia, José German Marcos Rubinet of Vistahermosa, which developed the exterior and interior design together with Paolo Mauro of CRH, one of Spain’s leading hotel development and design organizations.
